We left the harbor at 5:45 am in 10-20 kph trades.  It got nicer later on.  We ran bait at the buoy and took a triple mahimahi hookup, and landed all three.  Way to go men!  We came back with more bait and hooked a yellowfin.  Crystal landed a nice 20 pounder.  We came back again and missed a couple other bites.  Then we jigged up seven small yellowfin and a skipjack tuna.  We headed to another buoy and jigged up one yellowfin and one skipjack.  No other bites, but a great family day of fishing fun.  Hope to see you again!  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor at 6am in very light winds.  It was a beautiful day.  We headed to a buoy but only caught one yellowfin tuna, so we headed out to another buoy.  We got to the second buoy, put out baits, and started catching small yellowfin.  We took a double mahimahi hookup, and Jeff and Paxton were both reeling.  Jeff's mahimahi came up first but it was fouled up with the other line.  Jeff got his onboard, then we cut the line, untangled it from the other line, and Paxton reeled in a 35 pound mahimahi.  This breaks our 2015 record by a pound.  Way to go!  Paxton is one of our youngest anglers on our top angler scoreboard.  We caught an aku jigging and several more small yellowfin.  The bites shut down and we headed in.  We saw porpoise and whales on the way in, always a nice end to a great day.  We had fun fishing with you and hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor at 6am in light winds.  We headed to a buoy with no strikes on the way.  We baited up at the buoy, made a couple passes, and hooked a mahimahi.  Jay jumped in the chair and landed a 12 pound mahimahi.  Then we landed four small yellowfin and one aku on jig.  We missed a bite, but he came back and we hooked him good.  Riley jumped in the chair and reeled in a 9 pound mahimahi.  Right before it was time to head in, the porpoise showed up and shut down our action.  No bites on the way to the harbor, but we saw whales and more dolphins.  It was another great day of fun.  We enjoyed fishing with you and hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor a little before 6 am in 15-25 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy and on our first pass we caught a couple small yellowfin tuna.  On our second pass our corner pole took off with an ono.  David jumped in the chair and reeled in a 20 pound ono, putting him on our top angler scoreboard for 2015.  We made a couple more passes but no other strikes, so we reeled in the trolling gear and broke out the light tackle.  We started landing small yellowfin.  Then we hooked a mahimahi and David landed it like a pro.  A few tunas later, something hit our outrigger bait.  It jumped and we could see it was a good size mahimahi.  David jumped in the chair and the battle was on.  The mahimahi put up a good fight.  We had to turn the boat and chase it, but David won the battle and landed a 34 pounder.  This breaks our existing record for 2015, and puts David on our scoreboard a second time.  Way to go Dave!  We caught a few more yellowfin and an aku, then hooked and landed another mahimahi. Ten yellowfin later, we hooked one more mahimahi, and David landed it in record time.   We caught a few more yellowfin, then it was time to head in.  No bites on the way to the harbor, but it was steady action all day.  It was a pleasure fishing with such a solid angler and hope to see you onboard again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor at 6:05 am in 15-20 kph trades.   At the buoy we caught 8 or 9 small yellowfin, but threw the small ones back.  We headed to another buoy and started hooking small to medium yellowfin tuna.  One of our baits hooked a mahimahi and Jeremy reeled it in.  We caught over twenty yellowfin weighing 4-16 pounds.  Then we hooked one more mahimahi and Jacob reeled in a nice 15 pounder.  No bites on the way home, but a super catch and another real fun day.  Hope to see you all again soon.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time, in 10-15 kph trades.  Today's charter was booked by Hunter, for himself and a few friends.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  We got to the buoy, ran baits, but still no bites.  We tried jigging and hooked a couple aku, but they came off hook.  We decided to head down to another buoy.  On the way, we found a log and other trash in a current line and started catching small yellowfin tuna.  Then our bait took a hit and we had a mahimahi online.  We reeled him all the way to the back of the boat, then it cut line and got away.  Bummer!  We caught a couple dozen small yellowfin and two skipjack tunas.  We threw back a bunch of the small yellowfin.  While we were reeling in the tuna, they attracted a couple mahimahi.  We hooked one mahimahi on bait and another on the jigging pole. Dylan and Jacob landed them both.  We caught some more yellowfin, then it was time to head home.  We caught a yellowfin on the way in, but threw him back.  Today was super fun with plenty of great reeling on light tackle.  Glad you have mahimahi for dinner.  We look forward to fishing with you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time.  It was another nice day.  We hit the ledge before heading to the buoy, but no bites.  At the buoy we started catching small yellowfin tuna.  Everyone did a great job reeling them in.  We threw the smallest ones back, and ended up keeping 20.  It was a half day, and time to head in.  We set our trolling lines for the ride back to the harbor.  No bites on the way in, but we did spot whales.  It was another fun day, and we look forward to fishing with you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right at 6am.  It was almost too nice of a day.  We spotted whales on the way to the buoy, but no other action.  At the buoy we started catching small yellowfin tuna.  It was steady action.  We caught a couple dozen, but threw the littlest ones back.  We tried another buoy on the way back to the harbor.  We were hoping to catch a mahimahi, but no luck.  Our port outrigger did take a hit on the way in, but it didn't stick.  No big fish today, but everyone had a real nice time.  It was a pleasure fishing with you, and hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right at 6am in slight, variable winds.  We headed to a buoy, ran bait and jigged, but nothing was biting.  We headed to another buoy and saw some birds on the way.  We followed the birds but couldn't get any fish to bite.  We got to the next buoy, ran bait and jigged, and caught seven small yellowfin and three skipjack tuna.  No bites on the way back to the harbor.  We enjoyed fishing with you again, and really hoped for a better catch, but that's fishing.  Hope to catch the big one next time you are on Oahu.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, and Captain Steve

We left the harbor right at 6am in 20-25 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  We trolled by the buoy and took a mahimahi strike on our first pass.  Michael jumped in the chair and reeled in a 25 pound bull.  We switched to bait and started hooking yellowfin.  We had a triple yellowfin hookup and landed them all.  Then we jigged up a 20 pound yellowfin on 50# test.  It was a good battle, and Michael landed it.  We caught a couple more nice size yellowfin on bait, and jigged up one aku.  It was rough seas out there today, but our men handled it well.  It was a pleasure fishing with you and hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter & Captain Steve
