Click to enlarge Click to enlarge  Wayne Stien caught 1 ahi a 163 pounder 3 mahi 3 shibi and 1 aku for a fantastic day of fishing today
In the dark we took off on this day of 25 kph trades going to a buoy far away. Along the way we took a mahi hit and landed a small mahi. At the buoy we baited and hooked some shibi and a small mahi. When we jigged we caught a few shibi and an aku. then we set up and trolled out. Along the way we found a small bunch of birds and as we left them an ahi grabbed the corner lure and screamed out 400 yards of line in a hurry. Wayne did great reeling this big fish to the boat in about 30 minutes, and it was relatively easy at gaff, for a big 163 pounder. We found an open school and got 1 more mahi in it. Back in the harbor Wayne was bold enough to eat an eyeball out of his ahi, a real mouth full it was. It was great to have you aboard again Wayne, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty
