We slipped out on time on this day of 25 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we took an ono hit and Craig landed a nice ono. Then we came back with bait and Scot hooked a small mahi and Ben landed it. We then jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. When we baited again Scot hooked a few small shibi and they came aboard. Then on our last pass Scot got a big shibi on and Craig landed a nice 37 pounder. On our way in 4 miles out we had an ono hit and Rodney redeemed himself with a 35 pound ono. In the harbor all these guys ate eyeballs without hesitation, good going guys you all did great. Aloha Capt Rusty

There were a few showers a we got going on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. There we jigged and caught some small to medium aku and ran one live. When we baited nothing came up on the bait so we jigged some more and caught more aku. When we baited again Scot hooked one nice shibi and Bruce landed it a nice 37 pounder. We jigged up a few more aku and headed in. On our way an ono hit a big marlin lure and came aboard. In the harbor both of these guys ate aku eyeballs gladly, I like it, good going men. It was sorta calm as we departed on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and started hooking nice size shibi almost every pass. It was hot action and it just got better as the tide came up. Denise landed a big shibi that went 85 pounds, and Tiny landed a 65 pounder too. The longest fight was a 45 pounder that was snaged in the head and took 45 minutes for Tiny to land with lots of help from Scot. Back in the harbor they both gladly ate shibi eyeballs, good going you folks did real good today on all these fish. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the appointed time off we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. On our way we took a triple ono and landed 2 of them. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. When we baited nothing came up, also there was nothing showing on the fathometer. So we jigged and caught more aku. We baited again and caught a small mahi. And then we jigged some more, and baited more with the same result nothing. At least the aku were biting. Back in the harbor Danny, Suellen and Terry were bold enough to eat aku eyeballs gladly, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the crack of dawn out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. A barracuda chopped our aku in half and missed the hook again. When we baited Scot hooked a nice shibi and we landed it. Next pass Scot got 3 shibi on and we landed all 3. A few more shibi singles on bait came aboard. Then Scot hooked another 3 shibi but 2 were ahi size, Joe landed a 90 pounder that would have been 100 except a mako shark ate it's tail off, Fred worked on one big one for almost an hour on 60 pound test before it broke the 80 pound test leader, and Keoni landed a 30 pounder. We tryed to hook the mako but it would not eat anything. These guys were real troopers, they did great on all these fish, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

We slid out of the slip on time on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. There we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. Our aku slammed down and was on for a short time and came off, so we put out another one, it got mauled by a barracuda, somehow missing the hook. When Scot baited he had a shibi on but it broke 50. Next pass and John lands a nice shibi on 50. One more big one and John gets it too. Back at the dock Dalton said he would eat an eyeball if I did, needless to say I ate one and so did he, and liked it so much he asked for seconds, Carlie ate one too, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Then it was one a pass for a while, Steve and Darrin both got a good workout on these fish, most of them on 60 pound test, very sporty. These folks all did great today, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the appointed time out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. Arriving we jigged and caught  some small aku and ran one live. When Scot baited he had a few hits but no hookups, so we jigged some more. Then we lost a shibi at gaff it broke line. Then we hook our big fish of the day on 50 pound test a nice 56 pounder that Shawn landed in about 30 minutes, a great battle. So we jigged and caught some more aku and a few more shibi. When we baited Scot hooked 2 more shibi on bait and they came aboard. These guys did great today, good going men. At the dock only I consumed and eyeball today. Aloha Capt Rusty

In the darkness and out we go on this day of 25 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. On our way we found a plank floating but only got 1 small mahi there. At the buoy we took a mahi hit and landed it, next pass one more mahi and Rob landed a nice one. Then we baited and Scot hooked a few nice shibi and they came aboard. On one pass Scot hooked a real big one and Mike fought it for 40 minutes, it must have been over 100, but it broke 80 with 45 yards to go, bummer. A couple more shibi and we jigged but could not catch an aku only some small shibi. It was a real rough day and these guys did great on all these fish, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

On time and out we go on this day of 25 kph going to my favorite buoy, where else would we go to have fun. On our second pass we took an ono hit on the corner and Crystle landed a nice big ono. When we came back with bait a good sized mahi grabbed a bait 7 feet from the transom and it came aboard. Then  Scot hooked a nice shibi and Bob landed a nice one. Then it was a mahi or a shibi each pass and a few jigged up aku with an aku out live. These folks did great on this rough day, good going. I was the only one to eat an eyeball today.
