Scot and Adam and Alex Endomoto and Kent Endomoto caught 1 shibi and 3 aku for a fun day
|
At about 5:30 we pulled out on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught 3 small aku and ran one live. Then Scot baited and hooked a nice big shibi and Kent landed it easily. These guys did good today, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Johnny Julian, Mike Zick, Stephen Czaikoski, Jason Zick and Chase Bingham caught 4 mahi 9 shibi and 4 aku for a great day of fishing today
|
On time and out we go on this day of 25 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. There we jigged and caught some small aku and a big shibi and ran an aku live. Then we baited and Scot hooked a nice shibi and it came aboard. Next pass Scot hooks 2 mahi one a 37 pound bully that Mike reeled up and they both join us in the boat. 2 more mahi come along and in the bag they go. Then it was a steady stream of shibi on bait, all nice big ones, great fight on light line, these guys did great on all these fish. Back in the harbor only Chase and Johnny had what it takes to be on fear factor and gladly ate shibi eyeballs, I like it, good going men, you did great. Aloha Capt Rusty

Jason Nugent and Randy Kashat caught 5 shibi and 5 aku for an action packed day
|
We rolled out at 5:30 on this day of 25 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and Scot hooked a nice shibi and Randy landed a nice one. Next few passes we lost a few, so we jigged and caught some small aku. When Scot baited again he hooked another big shibi and Jason pumped up a nice shibi. A few more aku and Scot gets a few more shibi on and they come aboard. These guys did a real good job on all these fish today, it was a wild ride today,and we had to cancel our saturday charter due to a topicalstorm passing close. In the harbor only Jason had what it takes to eat a shibi eyeball gladly, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Julie, Missy, Craig, Martin II, Travis and Martin caught 5 shibi and 2 mahi for a great day of fishing

At the crack of dawn out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. There we bait and Scot hooks 2 nice shibi and they both come aboard. A few more pases and Scot hooks another shibi and we land it too. A small mahi eats a bait and we get it. Then Missy gets a nice big one in the boat. When it is Julies turn she gets the big fish of the day a 50 pound shibi on 60 pound test. Scot then hooks a nice mahi and Martin lands it, a nice 24 pounder. Back in the harbor I am the only one to throw a shibi eyeball 10 feet in the air and catch it in my mouth and eat it. These folks did great on all these fish today, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the appointed hour off we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. There we jigged and caught a few small shibi and ran one live. When Scot baited he hooked 2 nice shibi and the boys each landed one. When we jigged again we hooked one more nice shibi and it came aboard. No hits on our way in, and no eyeball eaters today, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Sam McArthur, Marvin Mays and Tracy Mays caught 7 shibi and 1 aku for some fun today

There was light rain as we departed on this dayb of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. There we baited and hooked nice size shibi on each pass for 2 passes and landed them both. Then Scot missed a few and we got one more nice one. We jigged then and caught some small shibi and one aku that we ran live. Then we baited again Scot had a nice one on but it came off. Back in the harbor only Tracy was bold enough to eat a shibi eyeball gladly, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

C. O. Samuelson, Scott Samuelson, Cecil Samuelson and Jason Richards caught 9 shibi and 3 aku for a great day of fishing today
|
It was misting lightly as pulled out on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. On our first pass we hooked and landed a 12 pound shibi. We came back and jigged and caught some small shibi and one big one. When we baited Scot hooked a few big shibi and we landed 3 more nice big ones. Jigging again and we landed a few good size aku.These guys did great on these big fish today. On our way in we found a slick around a spinner porpoise that had been killed by a 10 foot mako shark, as we watched it took a big bite out of it. We tossed it a 6 pound shibi on a wire and it ate it and hooked up, but it came off after only a minute or so, it was a great show. In the harbor only C. O. was bold enough to eat a shibi eyeball, he was the designated eater, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

Mason Kurahara, Mike Wegener, Teresa Kurahara and Kim Wegener caught 4 mahi 7 shibi and 10 aku for a real great day of fishing

It was a cloudy and rainy morning this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. On our first pass a mahi grabbed the corner and Mike landed it. Then we came back jigging and caught some small aku, we ran one live and as it went out we hooked up a big shibi on 60 and Mike got it. When we baited Scot hooked a nice big 27 pound mahi and Kim landed it. Next pass a small mahi hooked up and came aboard, and one more right after. Then it was one big shibi after another for a while, great action on light line. We jigged and caught more aku. We did get rained on a few times today, nothing too heavy, we need the rain. These folks did great on all these fish, everyone landed a big shibi, good going. In the harbor I was the only one to consume a shibi eyeball. Aloha Capt Rusty

In the twilight out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. Arriving we hooked a small mahi trolling and landed it. We came back with bait and hooked another small mahi, and it came aboard. Then we jigged and caught a small shibi and 2 small aku. When we baited again Scot hooked a nice 40 pound shibi and Paulo landed it. He got 2 more big shibi in the boat. Then Scot hooked a fish that must have been over 100 as it screamed and did not want to come up, Paulo worked on it for 45 minutes before it just came off the hook, bummer. I was the only one to eat an eyeball today. These folks did great today on all these fish. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the appointed hour and off we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. On our way we landed a small mahi and a small aku. At the buoy we jigged and lost a few aku then baited and nothing came up, jigged some more and no bites, so we set up and trolled to another buoy. There we jigged and had an aku chopped by a shark, then hooked a shibi and landed it. Then a big shibi hooked up and Stephen landed a nice one. When we baited Scot hooked another shibi and John got it in the boat. Back ashore David was the only one to eat an eyeball gladly, good going guys.Aloha Capt Rusty
