We left the harbor early in 10-15 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  We ran bait at the buoy and hooked a mahimahi.  While we were reeling it in, we hooked another.  We landed them both, kept baiting, and continued hooking mahimahi.  We had a few doubles, and plenty of action all day.  Jennifer Noles landed the biggest mahi of the day, weighing in at 19 pounds.  We saw some great angling today and caught a total of 15 mahimahi.  We were also jigging while catching the mahimahi, and landed 2 small yellowfin and 5 skipjack tuna.  Part of this group will be fishing with us again in 2 weeks, an we look forward to another super catch.  Always a pleasure fishing with you, Aloha Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time in 15-25 kph trades.  We got to the buoy and hooked an ono on our first trolling pass.  Jordan reeled in a nice 17 pounder.  We baited up, had a couple strikes, but they got away, bait AND hook.  We decided to try another buoy.  There were birds at the next buoy, always a good sign.  We came in with bait and had a triple mahimahi hookup on our first pass.   We landed all three.  We continued baiting and catching.  We had a few double hookups and lots of singles.  Dylan landed a big mahimahi that put up a good fight, took a lot of line, and we had to back up and chase it.  It was the biggest mahimahi of the day, weighing in at 29 pounds.  We kept baiting and catching mahi, till it was time to head in.  No bites on the way in, but a great day's catch.  This was the Pavlisin's last day on the island, and they are having a mahimahi feast tonight.  Alright!  It was a pleasure fishing with you.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor at first light in 15-25 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy, came in with bait, and started catching mahimahi.  Everyone did a great job reeling and we were landing them one after another.  Joe was a reeling demon.  Not only did he land the most mahimahi, he caught two on one line!  Joe had said his mahimahi was reeling in hard.  When it got close to the boat we saw he had one mahi hooked in the mouth and another lassoed!  Joe landed them both.  We caught a total of 34 mahimahi.  We were out of bait and our crew was hungry for tuna, so we tried jigging.  Jacob and Joe caught 8 skipjack tuna and 3 small yellowfin.  Joe reeled in a 15 pound skipjack, which tied our current 2014 record.  No bites on the way in, but our fish bags were full, and everyone had a great day of fishing.  It was a pleasure fishing with you.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor early in 15-25 kph trades.  On the way to the buoy, our center rig came down and we had an ono on.  Will jumped in the chair and landed a 22 pounder.  We trolled by the buoy and took a double mahimahi strike.  We landed them both.  We made two more passes hooking and landing a mahimahi each time.  We switched to bait and started nailing mahimahi.  There were a few triples and lots of double hookups.  These solid anglers were landing them one after another.  We also caught a barracuda while we were catching all the mahimahi.  We ran out of bait so we started jigging.  We caught one more mahimahi and 10 and a half skipjack tuna.  A barracuda chomped one in half and we reeled in the head only.  Today was the hottest mahi action we've seen all year.  We caught 39, weighing over 400 pounds.  Awesome fishing everyone!  It was a pleasure fishing with you, and hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve
