In the dark at 5 we put to sea on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. There we baited and after a few misses caught 2 small shibi. Then we jigged and caught 2 big aku one is the new year to date big aku at 16 pounds. David hooked his ahi on 60 pound test on a tld 30 and had it to the boat in about 40 minutes a great battle. Back at the buoy we baited and got a small shibi and a 45 pounder. David did great on all his fish today good going. At the dock he was up for an eyeball, we did them together, good going, great day of fishing. Aloha Capt Rusty

5:00 is the new official starting time and we were close on this morning of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. Arriving Scot baited and had a nice 55 pounder on our first pass and Joe landed it. Next one is a small one. A few more loops and another nice shibi and Tanna lands a 44 pounder. We baited and jigged but no hits for a while before one more nice shibi ate a bait and Doug put a nice one in the boat. These folks did good today, good going.Aloha Capt Rusty

By special request we got underway at 8:30 on this 1/2 day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. At the bouy we jigged and caught some small aku and shibi and ran an aku live. Then Sot baited and had a few hits but nothing stuck. So we jigged and caught a few more shibi and aku. On our way in we had an ono chop a lure off and another one scratch the leader. These folks did good on these fish. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was 5:30 as we slipped out on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. We got a few aku trolling at the buoy. Then we baited and had a few hits and misses before Scot got a big shibi on and  Billy landed a 40 pounders head. Then Scot hooked  a real big shibi and Jim had it to the boat in about 40 minutes with some help from Scot, it went 98 pounds.  Next pass and one more 44 pounder that Keith lands, these guys did good on these fish today. In the twilight we slid out on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. Arriving we baited and Scot hooked a real big shibi and Tony had it to the boat in about 40 minutes on 80 pound test a nice 95 pounder, a real battle it was. After a few misses Scot gets a nice 40 pounder on and Ken lands it. On our way in we found an open school and Scot baited up 2 big mahi one a 30 pound bully. Back in the harbor both of these guys ate mahi eyeballs gladly, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

In the first light we took off on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and Scot hooked a big shibi and Matthew landed a 42 pounder that had been hooked in the side. When we jigged we got a few small aku and ran one live. When we baited again Scot hooked a 18 pound shibi and a 10 pounder too. We jigged again but got no hits, baited and no hits either. These guys did real good on these fish today, good going guys. Just as it got light we took off on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. Arriving we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. Then Scot baited and hooked 2 nice shibi and we landed them both. Then we jigged some more and caught a few more aku. Next bait pass and Scot had a few bites but they came off. So we jigged and got a bunch more aku. One more series of bait passes yeilded nothing, so a few more jigging passes and we landed more aku. These folks did good today. Aloha Capt Rusty

As the sky slowly lit up we pulled out on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. There we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. We baited and nothing came up as we came back up to the buoy we jigged and hooked a big shibi and Bert landed a nice 41 pounder. We baited more and caught some small aku and a few shibi. On one pass a big 31 pound mahi came in on our aku and Scot dropped a bait and hooked it up and Hunter landed it on 60, a great fight. We got a few more aku jigging and headed in. These guys did great on these fish today. Good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the appointed hour out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. There we jigged and caught a few small aku and ran one live. When Scot baited he got a nice shibi on but it came off half way to the boat. A few more passes and 2 more big shibi on and both come aboard. We jig some more and get a bunch more small aku. When Scot baits again he hooks another nice shibi and Mike lands a 35 pounder, these guys did great today on all these fish. In the harbor only I ate a eyeball, good going men . Aloha Capt Rusty

At first light out we go on this day of 25 kph trades going to my new favorite buoy. Once there we jigged and caught some small aku and shibi and ran one live. When Scot baited he hooked a big shibi and Josh landed it. More jigging and we got some more aku and shibi. We baited and Scot hooked a few more big shibi and CJ landed one. The shibi pushed up some squid and we got some and used them to hook a few more shibi a few big ones too, it was wild action for a while there, these guys did great today on all these fish. Back in the harbor they both ate eyeballs gladly, I like it. Aloha Capt Rusty
