We got going at 5:30 on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and got no bites so we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. The aku slowed down and we set up and trolled outside, we found some aku schools but got no hits. On the inside we baited up a mahi outside the harbor. These folks did good on these fish today. Good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Then we got a few shibi jigging and then got 2 shibi on bait, then we got bit off baiting. These guys did real good on all these fish on this snappy day, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

Click to enlarge Click to enlarge  Jenny and Mark Hanson caught 5 shibi 5 aku 1 mahi 1 shark for a great day of fishing
We got going at 6:30 on this rainy day of 15 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we took a shibi hit on our first pass and Mark got a nice 33 pound shibi. Then we baited and only the birds got any of it, so we jigged. We had a nice shibi on and sharks ate it, so we jigged and got a few aku and shibi, then baited again and a mahi came around and Scot got it to eat a bait and we got it. Then we ran an aku live and before long a shark ate it and Mark reeled it in and it actually gave us back our hook at the boat. These folks did great today on all these fish. In the harbor Mark was glad to eat an eyeball, after Jenny told him to, good going.  Aloha Capt Rusty

Then Les reeled in a 50 pounder with some help from Mike and Scot, still she did a great job on that fish. A few more small shibi then Mike reels in a shark and it lets itself go at the boat. We jigged but got no hits so back to bait, and a few more shibi. These folks did great on all these fish today. In the harbor Mike gladly wolfed down a shibi eyeball, I like it. Good going guys. We got underway at 5:30 on this day 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and caught a few shibi. We jigged but got no bites so back to bait and the shibi kept coming. When the birds finally started to work we caught an aku and ran it live, the only thing to bite it was a shark that Ronny had on for a while before it cut the 600# leader. Ronny did real good on these fish with a little help from Cugi and Scot. Good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty
