We left the harbor at first light in light trades and calm seas.  We baited up at the buoy and caught two yellowfin tuna.  Then we chunk baited and caught two more yellowfin.  We started jigging and caught a few more yellowfin and five skipjack tuna (aku).  We headed to another buoy hoping for bigger game, but nothing there, so we headed back to the first buoy.  On the way we had a mahimahi strike, but we lost him.  No other bites on the way in.  It was great fishing with you again and hope to see you again soon.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor early in light trade winds.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  We ran bait but only hooked some puny yellowfin.  We headed to another buoy, trolled by and caught a mahimahi.  We came back with bait and hooked three more.  One came off and we landed the other two.  We kept baiting and catching mahimahi.  Everyone had plenty of reeling action.  Then we hooked and landed a 44 pound yellowfin tuna.  We caught a few more mahimahi, then tried jigging and ended up with a 47 pound yellowfin.  Alright!  We hit another buoy on our way in, but no other bites.  A successful day of fishing and a whole lot of fun.  Hope to see you all again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor at 5:20 am in light winds.  We headed to yesterday's spot, baited up and hooked a bunch of mahimahi, but kept losing them.  One even got half way to the boat before it jumped and came off hook.  We finally hooked two good, and landed them both.  We baited up again and landed two more mahimahi back to back.  We set our lines for the ride home and shortly later, our center rigger slammed down and we had an ono on.  We landed it within ten minutes, then headed in.  Great fishing men.  Hope to see you again.   Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time in light winds.  We headed towards a buoy and had a mahimahi strike on the way.  We lost it, but came back with more bait, hooked two mahimahi, and landed them both.  We kept baiting and this time caught a wavy back skipjack tuna (kawakawa).  Then we hooked and landed another mahimahi followed by another kawakawa.  Right before it was time to head in, we hooked a nice sized yellowfin tuna.  Alvin had done most the reeling today, so Melissa jumped in the chair.  While she was fighting the yellowfin, we hooked another mahimahi.  Alvin landed the mahimahi and Melissa was still fighting that yellowfin.  She landed the yellowfin, then we headed in.  Great fishing!   It was a pleasure having you onboard and hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time in 5-15 kph variable winds.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  At the buoy we baited up, but no bites.  We headed out and our corner lure took a marlin strike.  It took 200 yards of line then came off hook.  Bummer!  We headed to another buoy but nobody home.  We headed to another buoy and had mahimahi bite, but it didn't stick.  Pretty sure the same mahimahi came back, and this time we landed him.  No other bites on the way in.  We covered a large area today, to catch one mahimahi, but that's fishing.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor early in 5-15 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  We got to the buoy and no bites there either.  We headed out, saw some birds, took a strike, but it didn't stick.  Couple minutes later we took a four-banger, all nice size tuna.  It was a Chinese fire drill, with everyone reeling like a demon.  Two popped off and we landed the other two.  Richie Paull is on our top angler scoreboard with his ahi that weighed in at 120 pounds.  Way to go Richie!  We set the lines back up, took another ahi strike, it took 150 yards of line, then came off hook.  The birds broke up and left, so we headed to another buoy.  We ran bait at the buoy and hooked and landed a 15 pound mahimahi.  We saw a couple more, so we came back and baited up another one.  We were using light test line, so we were lucky to land this nice 22 pounder.  We hit another buoy on our way in, but no other bites.  Another great day on the Kuuloa Kai.  It was a pleasure fishing with you and hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time in 5-15 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy with no strikes on the way.  At the buoy we baited up and hooked four mahimahi, landing three.  We came back and took a double, landing them both.  We hooked a bunch more, lost a few, and landed three more mahimahi.  The bites had shut down so we headed out in hopes of something bigger.  No action in site, so we headed back in.  We hit a buoy on the way in and landed another mahimahi.  We caught a total of 9 mahimahi for a great day of fun.  It was a pleasure fishing with you again, and hope to see you on your next trip.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, and Captain Steve
