We left the harbor at 5:30 in 10-20 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy, baited up, and hooked a nice Yellowfin Tuna.  Jon fought it, shark got it, and bit it in half.  We lost a couple other strikes, so decided to try another buoy.  We caught two Mahi Mahi on the way, blind strike.  At the buoy, we caught three more Mahi Mahi.  We also lost a couple.  We were hoping for a Marlin on the way in, but no bites.  It was another great day on the Kuuloa Kai, and a pleasure fishing with you all.  Aloha, Scot & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time in 15-20 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy, made a couple passes, and hooked three big Yellowfin Tuna.  Albert reeled in two, and Veronica reeled in one.  Then we started jigging and caught about 30 Skipjack Tuna and a small Yellowfin Tuna.  That's a lot of fish for two people to reel, but these guys kept up.  Great fishing guys!  Aloha Scot & Captain Steve

We left the harbor in the dark in light trades.  We headed to a buoy, did a drive-by, and took a double strike.  Eric reeled in a Mahi Mahi and Ryan reeled in a Yellowfin Tuna.  We baited up and caught a few more Yellowfin Tuna.  We also caught a bunch of Skipjack Tuna, 11 total.  These guys did a great job jigging, and caught three more Yellowfin Tuna.  On the way home, the center slammed down, and we had a big Marlin on hook.  Thomas reeled him in pretty close to the boat, then the Marlin went crazy.  He ran out half a spool or more, and the fight was on!  Thomas reeled for over an hour before passing the pole to Eric, and then Travis.  Thomas took the pole again, and half hour later we had a 365 pound Marlin onboard.  This is a 2013 boat record and puts Thomas & Company on our Top Angler scoreboard.  Way to go!  It was a pleasure fishing with you all.  Aloha Scot and Captain Steve
