It was plenty dark as we set out on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and scot hooked some small shibi and we got 4 of them. Then we set up and trolled outside, we found some mahi and Scot baited up 2 nice ones and we got them both. These guys were great to have aboard today good going men. And Mark and Matt were both bold enough to eat shibi eyeballs gladly I like it. Aloha Capt Rusty

The Stokes family, Chris Raulerson and the Stambaugh family caught 6 mahi 1 marlin #136 and 5 shibi for a super day of fishing today
It was a calm morning as we set out with 15 kph trades blowing headed for my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and hooked a small shibi and then a big one that we got sorta close to the boat but it ran and broke off bummer. A few more shibi and one mahi and we set up and trolled outside. We had a marlin slam the rigger and scream out 500 yards of line jumping all over and putting on a great show. Chris was the angler and he did a great job getting this 136 pounder to the boat in about 35 minutes. Then we found an open school and got 5 more nice size mahi there, it was some great action and these folks did a super job on all these fish. They were a real pleasure to have aboard. Scot , Steve Mark and Capt Rusty caught 11 mahi and 4 shibi and hooked a monster marlin for a day we won't forget
We set out on this day of 20 kph trades going to my naxt favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and hooked 3 nice big mahi on one pass and got all 3. Then we jigged and caught 2 shibi. Then I saw someting blue in our prop wash right behind the boat when it came up it was a huge marlin all lit up and just waiting to eat something Scot dropped a 2 pound aku back but it did not pay any attention to it. Then on 500 pound test leader I dropped back one of the 8 pound shibi we had just caught, that is what it wanted and its head came out of the water as it took that bait and swallowed it, now this was not your average marlin it had to have been 800 to 1000 pounds. When Scot put the reel in gear and set the hook it came out of the water after screaming out 100 yards and did a few more jumps and then it broke the main line, we were totally bummed, that was the biggest marlin we had seen in years, but now it will get even bigger. We then set up and trolled outside where we found some open schools and baited up 9 more big mahi but still talking about that marlin. One heck of a day good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty
