We got going at 5:30 on this day of 15 kph winds going to a far away buoy. At the buoy we jigged and got 1 aku and ran it live.  When we baited Scot hooked one big 30 pound shibi and Joel got it. We baited a lot more but the birds were getting all our bait, not the fish. We set up and trolled away and after a while we took a double mahi in the blind, and got them both one was a 40 pound bully.  These guys did real good today. Back in the harbor they both ate eyeballs gladly. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 5:00 on this day of 15 kph easterly winds going to a far away buoy. On our way we took a double mahi and got them both. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and shibi. When we baited Scot got a shark on and while we fought it we hooked two big shibi and got one of the two a nice 25 pounder. We got a few more small ones and then set up and trolled out but found nothing. Back in the harbor both Jenny and Landon ate eyeballs with only some minor coaxing. These folks did great today on all these fish. good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 5:00 on this day of 20 kph trades going to a buoy far away. It was a rainy and rough at times ride getting to the buoy, no hits at the ball so we jigged and caught 2 aku and 3 small shibi, it was a slow bite so we set up and trolled on out. A few miles away we found an iwa over a small rope and got 3 mahi there. Then we found a tire floating and got 1 mahi and 1 ono there. Close to the harbor we had a hit that slammed the center but it came off right away. These folks did great to day, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 5:00 on this day of 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. There was nobody home at the buoy, so we trolled out and found nothing. On our way in we got a mahi in an aku school Chris did a great job reeling it in. We were lucky to get it as it was snagged in the head, the hook fell out when it came in the boat. In the harbor Chris and Wes were game for an eyeball out of  this mahi. These guys did great today. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 5:00 on this day of 20 kph trades going to a buoy far away. As we got near the buoy we took a double mahi and got one. At the buoy we had a small marlin hit our rigger and then make some passes at it but did not hook up. We baited and jigged and got no hits so we set up and trolled out and down. Then at 10 miles out from Kahuku Pt. we had a big marlin grab the center rigger and scream out 500 yards and only jumped twice, it looked big. Bob was the angler and he did a great job of pulling this big fish all the way to the boat. And that is where this marlin that was over 500 pounds decided she was done playing  with us as she made 2 out of  the water jumps at only 15 yards off our beam and then  as she dove under the boat and then back out only to come off on a run, bummer!!!  At another buoy we got 2 small mahi. On the way in we found an aku school and caught 1 out of 2 mahi trolling, the bully was 34 pounds. These guys did  a super job today. Aloha Capt Rusty
