It was real dark as we pulled out on this day of 15 kph northish trades going to my next favorite buoy. On our way we took a double small aku and got them both. At the buoy we caught a small shibi and ran it live. When Scot baited he hooked a mahi and we landed it. The first shibi we hooked was snagged in the side and gave Zack a long fight but he landed it. Then it was a steady bite with a few doubles and a few more mahi and lots of shibi one after another. These folks did great, never missing a fish, that's what we like. On our way in we saw a few whales in the distance. gGood going you guys did great.Aloha Capt Rusty

It was calm on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. There we jigged and caught an aku and 2 small shibi and ran a shibi live. When Scot baited he hooked a few nice shibi and we landed them. It slowed for a bit then Scot hooked a triple and we got them all, it was some great action there for awhile. Then it was a few more singles. These guys did great on all these fish today. I don't know what's up but these guys are the 3rd group to be from Wisconsin, and were they happy when the Packers won today. In the harbor I was the only one to eat an eyeball, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was flat again with 15 kph winds going to my next favorite buoy. On our way we took a mahi hit and landed a small mahi. At the buoy we jigged and caught 2 aku and 2 small shibi and ran a shibi live. Then we baited Scot was hooking nice size shibi 2 or 3 a pass and Jessica and Brent were busy reeling them in one after another, it was fast action all day at the buoy. Lots of screaming reels with shibi sometimes eating a bait super close to the boat, and being glassy flat we could see them real good today. These folks did great on all these fish . In the harbor only Brent was bold enough to eat a shibi eyeball gladly, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the crack of dawn out we go on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. Once there we jigged and caught 2 small shibi and ran one live and put one in the tubes. When Scot baited we got 3 on and got 2 shibi and a shark that broke off at the boat. Then it was a steady bite with Mike reeling in anywhere from 2 to 4 a pass, he was a real solid angler, as soon as he got one fish in there was another one on for him to reel on. The action was great, we could see some of the fish bite right behind the boat, and it was glassy as it can get today. Mike never passed up a fish, he jst kept on going, I was impressed. Great day of fishing, great job Mike. Aloha Capt Rusty

This was the calmest day in a month or more with light winds of 10 kph going to my next favorite buoy. Arriving we jigged and caught a few small shibi and ran one live and put 2 in the tubes. When Scot baited he was hooking nice size shibi every pass with a few doubles, it was great action. Mike was the main angler and he got a real work out on fish after fish, he did great. It was nice to be out on a flat day after how rough it has been lately. These were some fun folks to fish with, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Then there was a long spell of hits and misses before Scot got one on and Angel put it in the boat. We jigged again and caught 1 aku and ran it live. When we baited again Angel hooked another nice shibi and landed it, these guys did great today. In the harbor Kari and Mark were the bold ones to eat a shibi eyeball, I like it, good going guys.
