Daryle Rempel, Carman Dutz, Twyla Dutz and Taliya Dutz caught 1 kawakawa and 1 uku for a great day of marine mamal watching today
|
In the dark off we go this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. Along the way we saw some sharks and whales. At the buoy we jigged but the porpoise came and there was no way we were going to catch antything there. Off to another buoy where there was nothing going on either. In to the ledge we went, the first bait out got bit but it came off. Then Scot got a nice size kawakawa on and Carman landed it. Then a uku hooked up and we got it to. We were seeing lots of whales on the inside. Good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

David Bell, Wayne McCoy, Tony Jackson and Jack Bell caught 1 mahi and 2 aku for a little fun today
|
We set out right on time with 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and Scot hooked a nice shibi but it came off the hook after a 10 minute fight, bummer. Then we had one more hit but it missed the hook. Eventually a mahi ate a bait and came aboard. More baiting but no bites so we set up and trolled to another buoy. There we jigged and took a double small aku and got them both and ran one live. No hits baiting so we trolled on in. These guys were fun to have aboard, they taught me a new knot too, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Patrick Holtgrewe and Donna Grencavage caught 13 shibi and 2 aku for an action filled day today
|
It was light as we took off on this day of 10 kph variable winds going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and Scot hooked a nice shibi and Patrick landed it. Then we jigged and caught a few small shibi, when we baited again Scot got a few more good sized shibi on and they came aboard. Then we set up and trolled to another buoy. We baited there but got no hits so we jigged and got some more shibi and a few aku too, we ran an aku and a shibi live. Good going today Patrick.

At the right time off we go on this day of 10 kph variable winds going to my next favorite buoy. The buoy was dead so we kept going to another buoy, there we baited and Scot hooked one nice shibi and Ronnie landed it. Then we jigged and caught a few small aku and shibi. When we baited again we had one more hit but it missed the hook. We did see a few whales in the distance today. these guys did great today with what we had. good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Russell Schwab, Shelly Schwab and Aaron Schwab caught 1 striped marlin 2 shibi and 1 aku for a fun day today

We got going in the dark on this day of 10 kph variable winds going to my favorite buoy. Along the way we took a double and got 1 nice size aku. At the buoy we baited and hooked a shibi and got it. Then we jigged and hooked another one and got it. Then the porpoise showed up and the party was over, we jigged a bit more but got no hits. On our way in we had a slam on the rigger and saw a fish following the lure so Scot quickly got a bait out and hooked it up, a nice little 25 pound striped marlin that Russell landed. Jereme Spalding, Brendan West, Tony Sponzo, Beth Cutler and Todd columbus caught 17 shibi 1 mahi and 14 aku for an action packed day of tuns fishing today

In the dark off we go on this day of 15 kph south winds going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we took a double and landed a mahi and a nice big shibi, great way to start the day. When we came back with bait Scot was hooking shibi one or two a pass for awhile there and these guys did grerat reeling in fish one after another. Then we jigged and the aku were biting good and it was doubles most of the time. We baited once more and got a few more shibi to come aboard. Back in the harbor Tony was the bold one to take a bite out of the heart of his 54 pound shibi. good going guys it was fun. Aloha Capt Rusty

Russ Fitton, Pat Hamper, John Fitton and Patrick Fitton caught 11 shibi and 5 aku for lots of fun today

Right at the appointed hour off we go on this day of 20 kph west winds going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we took a double a mahi that came off right away and a nice 30 pound shibi that John landed. When we came back with bait we got no hits so we jigged and were getting some nice shibi on some light line a real good fight and some small shibi and a few fair sized aku too. We baited again but no bites so we jigged a bit more and got one more nice shibi. These guys did great on this rouhg day of snappy waves and a litlle rain too. They are from King Dentistry in Honolulu, check them out if you need some dental work done. Aloha Capt Rusty

Heath Reeves, Kenny Thompson, Glenn Oord, Michael Burddtte caught 1 big 85 pound shibi and some small aku for a great day today
|
Right on time off we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. Along the way we did see some great whale action this one just kept flaping it's tail forever. At the buoy we baited and got no bites so we jigged and caught some small aku. When we baited again we took a double big shibi and one just would not stop and broke line on the run. The other one mike was the angler and it took him 40 minutes to pull this fish back to the boat and we got it, great job. More baiting but no more hits. These guys did real good today. At the buoy we baited and took a few hits and Franco landed 2 nice shibi. then we jigged and caught a few small aku and shibi. We baited once more but got no hits. Theses folks did good with what we had today. Aloha Capt Rusty
