Don Robinson, Pete Kelley, Todd Chorba, Dennis Chorba, Bill Stewart and Phil Anderson caught 3 mahi 12 shibi and 5 aku for a real fun day of fishing
It was another day of 25 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we took a triple shibi and landed 2 of them. Next pass we took a mahi hit and Scot baited up a second one and we got 2. One more shibi trolling and we jigged, and caught some small aku and one 17 pound aku too. When we baited Scot hooked 3 more nice size shibi and they joined us in the boat. These guys did great on this rough day of choopy seas. Right outside the harbor we got one more mahi in an open school. On our way out in the morning we saw so much whale action it was wild, Good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going in the dark on this day of 25 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. Along the way we found a big aku pile and got 5 nice aku in it. Arriving at the buoy we took a 5 banger 3 mahi and 2 shibi and landed them all, a great start it was. We trolled it again and Jared landed a nice 22 pound mahi. When we came back with bait Scot was hooking nice shibi every pass, it was great action on light tackel. These guys did a super job on these fish on this rough day. Then we jigged and caught a few more small shibi and aku and ran an aku live. On our way in we saw a great whale breach just outside the harbor. Good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

Scot was hooking nice shibi one or two a pass every pass with one triple for good measure, these folks did great on this rough day. A few mahi came by and Scot hooked a couple more of them. The action was as good as it gets, lots of screaming reels. We even landed a 19 pound aku the biggest one we have caught in along time. On our way in we had a mahi hit in the blind and got it. The Claude Family Andrew, Alex, Beth and Bob caught 2 mahi 12 shibi and 4 aku for a super day of fishing
With moderate trades blowing at 25 kph out we go headed to my favorite buoy. On the way we took and aku hit and got an aku. At the buoy we took a mahi hit but it came off. When we came back with bait it was steady action with Scot hooking 1 or 2 every pass. Alex managed to land the biggest fish with a 30 pounder. Then a mahi showed up and ate a bait and Bob landed it. The action was steady all day and these folks did great reeling in these fish. We had plenty of hot whale action both going out and coming in. In the harbor only Bob was bold enough to eat a shibi eyeball, with some classic facial expressions before it went down, good going you folks did great today. Aloha Capt Rusty

Gary Marsh caught 2 mahi 8 shibi and 5 aku for a fun filled day of fishing
The wind was up a bit today at 25 kph as we headed to my favorite buoy. Along the way we took a mahi hit and landed a small mahi. At the buoy we took a double shibi and small aku and got 2, then we had a double big shibi and got 1. When we came back with bait the birds were a real problem, so we jigged and hooked a bunch of smaller shibi and aku, and even got 2 nice size shibi on 40 pound test, Gary did great working those fish up on those small rods. We had a mahi come around but could not get it to stick. On our way in we took another mahi hit and Gary landed a nice 20 pounder, he loves to fish and it showed today. Great fishing with you today.
