We left the harbor right at 5 am in 5-15 mph variable winds.  We chased some birds on the way to the buoy, but no bites.  At the buoy we ran some bait and got a double hookup.  Brent landed a 25 pound yellowfin tuna, and the hook pulled out of the other one.  We kept baiting and catching yellowfin tuna.  Starey did a great job landing a 25 pound yellowfin on light tackle.  We baited more, and caught three mahimahi.  Then we started jigging and Randy caught a 10 and 1/2 pound aku, beating the previous 2014 record by 4 pounds.  Way to go Randy!  We jigged up 5 more aku and more than a dozen yellowfin, but threw the small ones back.  We ran more bait and everyone got to catch another 25 pound yellowfin.  On the way home, we trolled  by another buoy and hooked and landed a mahimahi.  We made another pass with bait and caught another mahimahi.  We caught one more mahimahi, then the bites stopped and we headed home.  Great fishing everyone!  Hope to see you all again.  Aloha Scot, Captain Steve, & Hunter

We left the harbor at 5am in light winds.  We had one strike on the way to the buoy, but it didn't stick.  Right before the buoy we trolled up a 19 pound mahimahi.  Grant did a great job reeling it in.  At the buoy we hooked a seven pound yellowfin tuna, and Tina reeled it in.  We baited up, got a triple hookup, and landed two yellowfin tuna.  We came back and caught several more, one after another.  Everyone got to reel in a 25 pound fish today.  Grant Coppin is on our top angler scoreboard with his 37 and 1/2 pound yellowfin tuna.  Way to go Grant!  The bites slowed so we began jigging.  We were catching aku and smaller yellowfin tuna, with plenty of double hookups.  We saw a mahimahi so we baited up.  We caught both a 23 pound mahimahi, and a nice 20 pound yellowfin tuna.  On our way in, we hooked and landed a ten pound mahimahi.    We caught over 400 pounds of fish today, these folks can reel!  Super day of fishing, hope to see you again.  Aloha Scot, Captain Steve, & Hunter.

We left the harbor at 5:20 am in light winds.  No bites on our way to the buoy.  At the buoy we put baits out and got three strikes.  Only one stuck and Bill reeled in a 25 pound yellowfin tuna.  We baited some more and hooked and landed another 20 pound yellowfin.  We continued baiting and caught another 19 pounder.  The bites slowed so we started to jig.  We were getting steady action with plenty of doubles.  Willie and Terry jigged up two yellowfin tuna, each weighing over 20 pounds.  Then Misty Edwards jigged up a fat aku.  It weighed in at 6 and 1/2 pounds and puts Misty on our top anger scoreboard for 2014.  We caught a total of 23 yellowfin tuna and 5 aku, a nice days catch.  Good fishing everyone!  It was a pleasure fishing with you again.  Aloha Scot & Captain Steve.

We left the harbor at 5:15 am in calm seas.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  At the buoy we ran live bait and started catching 20-25 pound yellowfin tuna.  Landon Williams reeled in a 26 pounder which puts him on our top angler scoreboard for 2014.  The bites slowed so we decided to jig.  We had steady single and double hookups for the next couple hours.  We were catching smaller yellowfin and skipjack tuna.  We jigged up a 20 pound yellowfin, right before it was time to head in.  Coming home, the center rig came down and we hooked an ono.  Kelsey Blonton reeled it in and is on our top angler scoreboard.  This fish weighed in at almost 22 pounds.  We had just reset the lure when we had another ono strike.  Landon reeled in a nice 21 pounder.  No other bites, but a great days catch.  It was a pleasure having you onboard.  Aloha, Scot & Captain Steve
