We got going right on time on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. There we saw no signs of fish life so on to another buoy. There we baited and Scot was hooking one two or three a pass for a while there, it was keeping Diane and Evan busy and they did great on all these fish. We jigged and caught 2 aku and ran one live, when it slowed down. We saw a few whales on the inside. Good going always good to have you aboard. Aloha Capt Rusty

The surf looked good as we pulled out at first light with 15 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and had a few hits and misses and had sharks following our baits, we jigged and got a few small aku and ran one live. More baiting no more hits so we set up and troll to another buoy. At this one we bait and hook 2 out of 5 hits and get 2 shibi in the boat, these guys did great. Then on our way in a big bull mahi grabs the rigger and Randy lands a nice 30 pounder, good going.Back in the harbor only Len is bold enough to eat a shibi eyeball gladly, I like it, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

On our first day back after dry dock off we got at first light on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. There was not much going on at the buoy so we kept going to another buoy. Alond the way we took a slam but it came off right away. At this buoy we took a nice size shibi hit on the first pass and land a big one. When we come back with bait Scot was hooking shibi one or three a pass. Then we got a big one on and Diane landed a nice 47 pounder a great fight. We had one more big one on but it came off half way in. Everyone did great today, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

This shows her best side, the end where we have fun and the power comes from. And a few squids too. Aloha Capt Rusty

We were out of the water a week and did all the usual drydock stuff. Like change the zinks fix some blisters and some cosmetic glassing here and there and put in new dripless shaft seals. We have a few more things to do before we will be ready to rock on through the comming year.

We set out in the dark on this day of 15 kph sw winds going to my next favorite buoy. Outside sunset beach we had a slam that took some line and came off. At the buoy we took a singe aku and then came back with bait. Scot was hooking shibi 2 and three a pass in the begining, it was some wide open action for a while there and Joe and Courtney were on it all the way, one fish after another. We caught a small aku and ran it live. More baiting and Scot kept hooking them up, Joe even landed a 16 pound aku, these folks did great today. On our way in we saw some whales up close and less than 50 yards off our bow, there are starting to be plenty of whales showing up now. In the harbor Joe was a repeat eyeball eater having eaten one before with us so he now has 2 on the board. good going Aloha Capt Rusty

In the twilight out we go on this day of 10 kph variable winds going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and Scot hooked some shibi right away and we landed 3. Then it got slow with only a stray bite here and there. So we jigged and caught a few small aku and ran one live. When we baited again Scot got a few more shibi to stick and we ended up with 7. This was the flatest day in along time, and that does make it hard to get them to bite. Everyone did great today with what we had going on. In the harbor Dan was the man and ate a shibi eyeball gladly, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

In the dark we take off with 20 kph trades blowing as we heading for my next favorite buoy. There we bait and Scot is hooking 1 or two or three a pass it was great action on light line and these guys just kept on reeling in fish after fish. Dan landed the biggest one a nice 45 pounder that is our year to date record shibi. It was some wild action. Then on our way in we had a marlin hit 2 lures before it hooked up on a third lure and screamed out 400+ yards jumping alot way out there, and one last jump and it came off, bummer, but it looked cool for awhile. Good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

Right at first light and off we go on this day of 20+ kph trades going to a buoy far away. Arriving at the buoy coordinates we could find no buoy, but there were birds and small shibi in the area. Out we go from there after a long look for the buoy, all the big rain squalls did not help matters. We found an open school and hooked 2 nice mahi and Steve and Valerie each landed one. Then we ended up at another buoy and the shibi were hungry there. Scot baited up 8 nice shibi and Steve landed the biggest one but Valerie had the bigger mahi. This was one of those days where you had to go to hell before you could get to heaven and these folks did great in both places. In the harbor only Steve was  game to eat a shibi eyeball very gladly, good going it was fun. Aloha Capt Rusty

Right on time an off we go on this day of 25 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we took an aku hit and Valerie landed a nice 10 pound aku. We came back with bait and had 2 hits and one stayed on and Valerie landed a shibi. We baited and got no more hits so we set up and trolled to another buoy. We baited there but got no hits. On our way in we found some bird life but the fish did not bite for us. It was a rough day with big seas and lots of wind, Steve and Valerie handeled it real well good going. We did see some whales right outside the harbor on our way in. Aloha Capt Rusty
