We jigged and caught some small aku and shibi, and ran an aku live. Then we set up and trolled away and found some open schools. We got one in each school, ending up with 7. On our way in we did the shark show thing. In the harbor only Rob was up for eating an eyeball, good going guy. These folks did good today. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 5:00 on this day of 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and shibi, and ran an aku live. Then we caught a few bigger shibi trolling and took off outside. Eventually we found a current line and followed it untill we found a branch with mahi around it and we got  about 10. Then we found a 3 foot piece of plastic and got 10 more there. Finally we found a big cargo net and only got 3 and an ono on it. As you can tell from the fish reports mahi season is happening now, all it took was for the wind to blow hard trades. It was a great day. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the buoy we got 2 mahi on our first pass, and 5 on our second pass, it was some wild action for awhile there. Then we jigged and got some small shibi and and ran one live. We had a shibi eaten by a shark and Jason reeled it in and it cut the leader at the boat. We got a few more mahi at the buoy and then headed in, on the way we got 4 more mahi in open schools. Our 1 ono was right outside the harbor.  Jason did great today on all these fish, even in big seas and high winds, he is one sea worthy guy. In the harbor he even ate a shibi eyeball gladly, Good going Jason. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 5:30 on this day of 25+ kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. On the way there we caught 3 mahi. At the buoy we took a triple mahi and got all three. We jigged and caught some small aku and shibi and ran an aku live. Before long there was a mahi on our aku and Scot baited it up. This same thing went on alot for a while, mixed with some bigger shibi, it was steady action. Then we found some open schools and got more mahi in them on our way in. This was a rough day, but that is why the fish are here now is due to the strong winds we have been having. It took till now for what can start in march to happen to the fishing out here. Good going Mark. Aloha Capt Rusty
