We left the harbor before dawn in light northern winds.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way.  Nothing at the buoy either, so we headed to another buoy.  We trolled by and our center lure hooked a nice size yellowfin on our first pass.  Tom was reeling it in when we hooked another smaller yellowfin.  Tom and Bart landed them both.  We came back with bait and hooked a nice mahimahi.  She jumped, swam around the buoy, and we had to chase her.  We got her off the buoy and Mike landed her.  We were also jigging while baiting, and were catching a lot of small yellowfin tuna.  We threw the small ones back.  We also jigged up a nice sized aku, and a small mahimahi.  Then Mike jigged up a 15 pound yellowfin right before it was time to head in.  No bites on the way to the harbor, but we came in with three flags flying, and a great catch for a half day.  It was a pleasure fishing with you.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right at daybreak in 15-20 kph trades.  We headed to a buoy with no bites on he way.  As we came up to the buoy, we hooked and landed a 6 pound mahimahi.  We made a couple more passes and caught a big eye tuna and two yellowfin tuna.  We pulled in the big lures, ran a couple live baits, and jigged at the same time.  We were catching 2-6 pound yellowfin on the jigs, throwing the smallest ones back.  Our rigger took a hit and we landed a 10 pound mahimahi. We kept catching yellowfin, with several double hookups, till it was time to head in.  We caught 2 kawakawa on the troll home.  Great fishing men!  Hope to see you again.  Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve
