At the right time off we go on this day of 30 kph trades going to the west side to hide from the wind. Outside of Makaha we found a pod of pilot whales, we stopped and they came close to us and were spyhopping us that is where they come staight up slowly and just look at you it was a great show as they came real close to us. No hits anywhere so back to plan b and it worked we took a double barracuda on the point and got them both. Then we had a rugged ride back home from the point. These folks did great today, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Along the way we took a marlin slam that screamed out 300 yards and only jumped once, we had Manana in the chair and fighting for a while but it came off bummer. At the buoy we took a shibi hit and got a 10 pounder. When We baited Scot hooked a double shibi and we got one and lost one. A few more on bait and we jigged and caught some small aku and a few shibi too. These folks were real troopers on this day of wind and rain, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Along the way we took a double mahi and Scot baited up one more and we got all 3, nice big ones a great start along with plenty of whale action too. At the buoy we baited and started hooking mahi and it was steady action 1 or 2 a pass great fun on light line. These folks  did great landing fish after fish and it was rough seas too. When we jigged we got 4 small aku, then back to bait and caught a few more mahi. It was hot action but it rained a lot to to keep us cool as well. Max and I had lots in common, lots of guns, finaly someone with as many ar's as me, great talking guns with you. Aloha Capt Rusty

Right at the time specified out we go on this day of 25+ kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. Along the way we had a few hits but only one that stuck was a kawakawa. At the buoy we took a 4 banger mahi and got them all. Then back to the birds and there is a floater, it is a chunk of blubber that may be all that is left of a dead whale, and it is snow white and is 6x6. So as we trolled around this blubber it was double mahi and shibi in the birds every time. These guys got a real work out on all these fish. When we baited we got a few mahi. It was some great action and  these guys did great today, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty
