The Roberts family Danny, David, Alec, Doug and Jason caught 9 shibi and 6 aku for lots of action today
At the crack of dawn out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. We got no bites when we baited so we jigged and then a real big shibi hooked up on 60 pound test and Jason reeled it to about 15 feet from the boat and it boke line right there, bummer. When we baited again we had a screamer that broke line, bummer again. We jigged and caught a bunch more aku and shibi, no more big hits. These guys did great on the fish they had on, but got none of the glory. Good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

Alonzo Ocaronza, Frank Gori IV, Frank Gori III, Frank Leal, Sal Costonzo and Randy Ackerman caught 1 marlin and 1 big 80 pound shibi and 3 aku for a record breaking day
At the appointed hour out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. When Scot baited he hooked a big shibi and Frank landed a big 80 pounder, a new year to date record for us. On the next pass Scot hooked a nice marlin on 80 and Frank landed it a 179 pounder, it jumped alot and spent most of it's energy so it was easy at gaff, and it is our first marlin of the year too. We jigged and baited more but nothing happened. These guys did good today on these fish. Aloha Capt Rusty

The Halsteads, Jamie and Heather and Phillip and April caught 1 big ono 6 shibi and 3 aku for some action today
Right on time on this memorial day with 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy we go. Arriving we jigged and caught a few small aku and ran one live. When Scot baited he hooked a real big shibi that gave Phil a long fight before it broke line, bummer. Then we get two on and the guys land them both. One more big shibi screams and then comes off half way in. Then we jigg some more small aku and shibi up before we get under way in. Just outside the harbor we take an ono hit and Phil lands a 33 pounder, nice big one. In the harbor only Jamie with lots of encouragement from Heather was man enought to eat a shibi eyeball, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Larry and Brian Diunizio caught 3 mahi 8 shibi and 4 aku for a real fun day
It was a clear sky this morning as we set out on this day with 10 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. Arriving we jigged and caught a few small aku and ran one live. When Scot baited he got some nice shibi on right away and Larry landed a 47 pounder. Then a mahi showed up and Scot baited it up and we landed it. Next pass a bigger mahi followes and eats a bait and joins us. One more big bully takes the bait and he comes aboard too. 2 more shibi add to our collection. It was wild action, the way we like it. Good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Matt Taber, Dan Taber, Nick Taber and Forrest Malone caught 1 ono 6 shibi and 3 aku for a real fun day of fishing today
Right on time at the crack of 5 out we go on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. Along the way we took an ono hit and Forrest landed a nice fat ono. At the buoy we jigged and ran an aku live. Then we came back with bait and Scot hooked 2 shibi on our first pass and we put them both in the boat. More baiting and no more hits so we jigged and eventually a big shibi hooked up and Scot baited up one more while that one was on. We saw a few whales today on the way in and out. These guys did great with these fish today, good going men. In the harbor Matt and Nick were the bold ones to eat shibi eyeballs gladly. Aloha Capt Rusty

Elise Kutzman, Ryan Kutzman, Russell Kutzman and Ted Lenentine caught 1 mahi 8 shibi and 3 aku for an action packed day of fishing today
Another vog colored sunrise on this day of 10 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. On our way we had two mahi hits and laned a nice one. We saw a whale too they are getting scarce now. At the buoy we jigged and caught a few small aku and ran one live. Then Scot baited and hooked big shibi almost every pass, great fun on light line, these guys did great reeling these fish in today. The last big shibi gave Elise a hard time cuse it was wraped, the hook was around the lower fin then the line went thur the mouth and pulling from the caudel fins a wild hookup but she landed it. Along our way home we had an ono slam the center and cut the lure off promptly, bummer. Good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Charlie Mullaney and Eric Greufe caught 11 shibi and 5 aku for a super day of fishing
It was a calm morning with 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught a few small aku and ran one live. When Scot baited he had lots of hits but only had one shibi stay on. So we jigged and these guys did great hooking 10 more big shibi and a few more aku. It was some great action on light line, and they never missed a beat even though it was steady action one after another. Both of these guys have been fishing with us before, and came back for more. In the harbor they both were ready to eat eyeballs again, I like it, good going men you guys did great. Aloha Capt Rusty
