We got going at 4:00 on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. On our first pass we had 3 hits and got none. Next pass we had a double and got 1 mahi, then we jigged and had a hard time getting an aku to bite. When we got an aku out alive it was not long before a few mahi came around to feast on them, Scot hooked and reeled in a 44 pounder, and a few more big bullys. Then we set up and trolled out and found a nice net and got a bunch more mahi there to end up with 28 mahi lots of big ones. It was some wild action. Only Mark and I were up for eyeballs today. Good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 4:00 on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we took a double mahi and got one on our first pass. Next pass we took a triple and got all 3. Then we had a few more singles, then we jigged and put out an aku live. That aku hit the water and went straight down to a waiting marlin that took off with it and jumped a few times, and was on. Jared was the angler and in 45 minutes he had this fish that looked to be about 300+ within 50 feet of the boat and it just came off, bummer I hate it when that happens. Back to the buoy and we jigged up a nice sized shibi and a few more mahi. Back in the harbor only Jared was game to eat an eyeball. These guys did a great job today on all these fish, and Jareds big mahi was a 39 pounder that is the year to date record for us, good going . Aloha Capt Rusty

We got going at 6:15 on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and shibi and ran a live aku. We saw a mahi but it did not come in so we set up and trolled out. We only got a short way and we hooked our marlin, it did not jump at first so we didn't know what it was till it came to the boat and then ran away and jumped. When it came back it was spent and easy at gaff, the way we like them. On our way in we hooked a nice big 34 pound ono and got it. In the harbor all these guys except Nick were game to eat eyeballs, I like it. These guys did great on these fish today. Aloha Capt Rusty
