It was still way dark as we set forth on this day of 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. We did see a few whales on our way out putting on a good show still. At the buoy we took a double ono hits and got one and lost a lure to the other one. When we baited we got no hits so off to the outside we go. We found 2 open schools of mahi and got one out of them. At another buoy we took an ono hit and lost another lure. We baited up some shibi and jigged a few too, these guys did great jigging them up. On out way in we took a doble and landed two nice mahi. These guys did great on these fish, And Charlie's ono is the largest this year for us so he will be on the top angler page, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was getting light as we set out on this day of 25+ kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. Along the way we encountered a massive school of pigmy pilot whales, there must have been 1,000 or more of them stretched over a third of a mile. We had groups of 20 to 30 going right across our bow for what seemed like a couple of minutes, a real treat to see. At the buoy we took a triple and got one mahi and lost the big bully at the boat it came off the hook right at gaff. When we came back with bait we got a triple and got them all. Next pass and we get 2 more and one more and they stop biting so off we go. We find one open school and get one out of it. Along our way in we take 2 more blind strikes and get two more mahi. These folks did great on this rough day landing all these fish was not easy with the big seas we had today, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty
