On time and calm water as we set out on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. Along the way we found an open school and Donna landed a real nice mahi. At the buoy we jigged and caught some small aku and ran one live. When we baited Scot hooked a nice mahi, and it was a wild thing at the boat, but Scot got it. Then we had some hits that came off, and our aku got sliced by an ono. So we put a bait out with a wire and hooked up but it came off before we could see what it was, bummer. Then another mahi ate a bait and joined us.Next pass a nice shibi ate a bait and Mike landed a nice one. At the dock they both consumed eyeballs Mike gladly and Donna reluctantly, good going, you folks did real good today. Aloha Capt Rusty

When we baited Scot hooked a mahi and we got it, next pass another mahi came in the boat. Then we had some hits and misses and eventually hooked some nice shibi and landed a few. On our last pass Scot hooked 2 shibi and a mahi, it was great action and these folks all did great on all these fish. Back at the dock everyone ate fish eyeballs some more gladly than others, and Jennifer got some great shots of her 29 pound shibi, good going guys. Aloha Capt Rusty

Calm waters only inside on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. Once there we baited and had a miss and the next hit was a big 70 pound shibi that Fabien landed easily, well sorta easily. Then we had a few ono chops and shibi misses too. So we jigged and caught a few small aku and ran one live. Then we hooked a 45 pound shibi on a clarke spoon on 50 and Mike had a real fight but had it to the boat in about 15 minutes, that was the battle of the day. Then an ono choped our live aku in half and missed the hook, we saw a small mahi but it was not eating. As we trolled away from the buoy we took an ono hit but it came off. These guys did great today good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was a rainy morning for a change on this day of 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. Apon our arrival we had a big shibi grab the corner and as we reeled it in a shark ate most of it bummer. When we baited we had a few misses at first then Scot hooked a nice size shibi and Dave landed it easily. Next pass Scot hooked 2 nice ones and they both came aboard. Then we jigged and caught 2 aku. When we baited again Scot hooked 3 in one pass and we landed them all, one a 70 pounder. Next hookup is a real big one that John pumped on for an hour only to have it come off the hook with only 30 feet to go, bummer, John did great. These folks did great on all these fish. In the harbor everyone except Dave Sr. gladly ate shibi eyeballs, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Smooth water it was as we set out on this day of 10 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. When we got there we baited and Scot hooked a nice big shibi, and one more grabbed too, one came aboard and one came off close to the boat. Next pass an ahi hooks up and in about 45 minutes on 80 pound test Isaiah got a workout and pulled in a 140 pound ahi, an epic battle. We hooked a few more real nice shibi and landed 2 more. Then we had another screamer that tookout 300 yards of 80 and broke line. The next hookup is big and Herb spends the next hour or so reeling in a 110 pound ahi on 60 pound test, a real battle, and we landed it. On our way in we took a mahi hit and Brian landed a nice mahi. Closer in we had an ono hit and Logan landed a 22 pound ono. In the harbor only Brian and Logan were bold enough to eat eyeballs gladly, good going men, you guys did great today on all these fish. Aloha Capt Rusty
