Sale Lauvao, Joshua Harrison, Meaghan Flanagan, Vera Gurundberg, & George Smith caught 14 mahimahi & 1 ono
We left the harbor right before daybreak in 10-15 kph trades. We got to the first buoy and caught a small ono. We came back with bait and took a double mahimahi hookup, and landed them both. We kept baiting and landed a few more mahimahi. Then we hooked four more mahimahi at once, and landed them all. It was hot mahimahi action all day. Right before it was time to head in, the porpoise showed up and shut down the bites. No strikes on the way in, but everyone will be eating well tonight. It was a pleasure having you onboard. Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

Kevin Logan, Amanda Logan, & Jeffrey Logan caught 9 mahimahi
We left the harbor right on time in 10-20 kph trades. We spotted some birds on the way to our first buoy, followed them, and hooked two mahimahi. We lost one and landed a nice 24 pound mahimahi. We got to the buoy, but no bites there, so we headed to another buoy. No bites there either, so we headed to a third buoy. On the way we hooked a nice size yellowfin tuna, but lost him. We baited up at the buoy and started catching mahimahi. At one time we had four on at once, and landed three. We caught a few more 15 pounders, then it was time to head back to the harbor. No bites on the way in, but everyone is eating mahimahi tonight. Great fishing everyone, hope to see you again someday. Aloha, Scot, Hunter & Captain Steve

Rick Schwartzbecker, Brian Loges, Dee Smith, & Garret Schwartzbecker caught 7 yellowfin & 1 aku
We left the harbor at the crack of dawn in 10-20 kph trades. We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way. We ran bait, had a 10 second hookup, but it cut the bait in half and got away. We think it was an ono. We kept running bait and also were jigging. We jigged up some small yellowfin, and Garret caught an aku. We headed out looking for something bigger, but it was a half day charter, and we needed to head back in before we found anything. We ran live bait at the ledge on the way back to the harbor. We were hoping for a mahimahi or ono, but other than a nibble, no luck. Our fish today were all small, but it was a fun day, and our group will still be eating yellowfin tonight. It was a pleasure fishing with you. Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right at 5:30 in 5-15 kph trades. We headed to a buoy, but nothing there, so we headed on to another buoy. We baited up and caught a mahimahi. We had a couple other bites, but lost them. We came back with more bait and hooked and landed an ono. We kept baiting, but no more action. We hit another buoy on the way in, but nothing there either. Not a huge catch, but our guests will be eating well tonight. It was a pleasure fishing with you. Aloha Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

Mike Worthington & Dave Sullivan caught 7 yellowfin & 1 aku
We left the harbor on time in light winds. We headed to a buoy with no bites on the way. We ran bait at the buoy and took a double yellowfin hookup on our first pass. Mike and Dave each landed a 60 pound plus yellowfin tuna. Alright! Great start to the day. We made another pass and landed a 15 pound yellowfin. We kept baiting and caught an aku and a couple more 15 pound yellowfin. Then we hooked a 30 pound yellowfin on 50# test. It was quite the fight, but Dave won. We caught one more 10 pound yellowfin, then it was time to head in. No bites on the way back to the harbor, but a great days' catch. It was a pleasure fishing with you and hope to see you again. Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

We left the harbor right on time in 10-20 kph trades. We got to the buoy with no bites on the way. We ran bait and took a strike on the first pass. Hannah reeled in a 15 pound yellowfin tuna. We made another pass and hooked a mahimahi. Carson reeled in a nice 20 pounder. We kept baiting and Mike caught a 20 pound yellowfin tuna. Then we took a double strike and Hannah and Ryan each landed a 13 pound yellowfin tuna. We started jigging and caught a couple 10-12 pound aku and a bunch of small yellowfin. We kept the 5-10 pound yellowfin, and released the smaller ones. We tried bait again and Mike reeled in the biggest yellowfin of the day, weighing in at 36 pounds. No bites on the way in, but still a good days' catch. It was fun fishing with you, and hope to see you again. Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

Susan Ingenluyff, Robert Ingenluyff, Michael Ingenluyff, & Laura Ingenluyff caught 4 yellowfin
We left the harbor right on time in 15-20 plus kph trades. We headed to a buoy with no strikes on the way. We ran bait at the buoy, took a double strike, and landed one yellowfin tuna. The other got away. We came back, took another double, this time landing two yellowfin. We made another pass, hooked two more, one came off, but then we hooked another, and were still fighting two yellowfin. One popped off and we landed the other, bringing our total count to 4 nice sized yellowfin. No bites on the way in, but our crew will be eating well this weekend. It was a pleasure having you onboard and hope to see you again. Aloha, Scot, Hunter, & Captain Steve

Carina Pieper, Ludwig Schmidt, & James Kreis caught 1 mahimahi, 4 yellowfin, 1 aku, & 1 ono
We left the harbor early in light winds. We headed to a buoy and had a strike on the way. James reeled in a 19 pound mahimahi. We continued to the buoy, ran bait, and took a double hit. Ludwig reeled in a 15 pound yellowfin and James reeled in a 12 pound aku. We made another pass and landed another yellowfin. We came back again and took another double. Ludwig and Carina each landed a 40 pound yellowfin. It was time to head in, so we set our trolling lures, and headed back to the harbor. We were almost home when our corner lure took a hit and we had an ono on. Ludwig jumped in the chair and reeled in a 29 pound ono. We raised our 4th flag, and proceeded home. Great fishing everyone! Hope to see you again. Aloha, Scot & Captain Steve

Rainer Heffentrager caught 4 mahimahi & a 194 pound marlin.
We left the harbor at 5:30 am in light winds. On the way to our first buoy the port outrigger slammed down and fish on! It jumped, took a lot of line, and we had had a marlin online. Rainer jumped in the chair and the fight was on. 40 minutes later we had a 194 pounder on the boat. Alright! We got to the buoy, ran some bait, but no bites. We jigged and caught some bait-sized yellowfin. We headed to another buoy, and on the way we had another marlin strike. We only had him online for 10 seconds before he came off hook. BUMMER! We ran bait at the buoy and took a triple mahimahi strike on our first pass. We landed all three. Rainer reeled in the biggest mahimahi of the day, weighing 30 pounds. We came back and hooked one more. This mahimahi put up a good fight, but Rainer won the battle and landed it. No bites on the way back to the harbor, but another awesome catch. It's been a pleasure fishing with and experienced angler the last few days, and we look forward to your next Hawaii vacation. Aloha, Scot & Captain Steve
