At the right time off we go with 10-15 kph trades as we head to a buoy far away. Along the way we took 2 mahi and one ono hit in the blind and got them all. At the buoy we took a 5 banger 4 shibi and 1 aku and got them all. When we baited we were getting a few nice size shibi , then Scot gets 3 on and 2 of them are big ones. Tom was the man in the chair for a 74 pounder that took most of his power to land then a 100 pounder right after that, he did great landing both of those nice fish. A mahi and a few more shibi at the buoy and a mahi on the way home for a full day of acton. Good going you folks were fun to have aboard. Aloha Capt Rusty

Click to enlarge Click to enlarge  Katja and Jeff Max caught 5 mahi 8 shibi and one 50 pound barracuda for a super action packed day
At the perfect time off we go on this day of 25 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited and Scot got a bit but it got cut off so we put out a wire leader and it got bit and broke off. Some mahi showed up and Scot baited up a double and a few singles with a few mid size shibi too. Then the barracuda hooked up and Jeff landed it on monofilament it was a 50+ pound monster that we gave a stern talking to and took the hook out and let it go. Then a big shibi hooks up and a shark chewes on it on the way in only leaves us a little dinner. We took a double big shibi and got them both, these folks did great on all these fish they never missed a beat. Jeff and Katja as always a pleasure to have you on board, hope to see you next year. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the buoy we jigged and started catching some small to medium shibi and aku, it was fun on light line. We had 1 mahi bite and Keith landed it, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

We got underway right on time on this day of 25+ trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy we baited but got no hits so off to plan B. and it worked we got 3 average size barracuda and one monster one that went 59 pounds, Kona landed it and was wondering why this one was so much harder to reel in till it came over the side and on the deck. On our way home we took a double mahi and got them both. Good going men you guys did great on this rough day. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was blowing a good 25 kph as we set forth going to my next favorite buoy. Along the way we took a mahi hit and after reeling in lots of line we got it. At the buoy we baited and hooked a nice size shibi that Jeff got close to the boat and it came off. Next big fish is Katja's turn and with a little help from Scot lands a nice 70 pounder. A few more mid size shibi and we getting ready to leave when Scot hooks one more big fish and it took Jeff  almost 40 minutes to land an 80 pounder, that just did not want to come to the boat. These folks did great it was some big seas and high winds today and they did super. Aloha Capt Rusty
