Right on time in the dark we set out on this flat day of 10 kph winds going to a buoy far away. Along the way we took an aku hit and got a 10 pound aku. At the buoy we baited and started hooking mahi and shibi every pass, it was some great action with 2 or 3 on at a time. They are not real big but they are still fun to catch, and put up a good fight on light line. On our way home we could see the crowds on the beach at the pipe masters surf contest. These guys did great hooking and reeling in all these fish, great job men. Aloha Capt Rusty

We set out in the dark on this day of 10 kph trades going to a buoy far away. Along the way we took 3 hits and caught 3 mahi. At the buoy we baited and started hooking mahi right away, then it was one or 3 each pass for a long time. Then on one pass we had 2 nice size shibi and a mahi on and a marlin showed up and we got a bait out to it but it would not eat it down, bummer. When we jigged we caught a few more mahi and a few shibi too, it was great action no mater what we did. Then on our way in we took 3 more hits and got 3 more mahi, a great day and the guys did great landing all these fish one after another, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

Then we baited again and one more mahi hoos up and we land it too. Two more hits and we land a needlefish and Remi gets a 18 pound barracuda in the boat. Right on time and of we go on this day of 20-30 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. Just ourside the harbor we saw some whales but not humpbacks, I think they were fin back whales cuse it looked like a surfboard fin on their backs. At the buoy we baited and hooked a mahi and landed it. Then we jigged and caught some small aku and shibi and ran an aku live. On our way in we took a mahi hit on the corner pole and got a nice big mahi. Then outside sunset beach we took another mahi hit and got it too. These folks did great on this rough day of big seas and high winds, they were a pleasure to have aboard good going. Aloha Capt Rusty
