In the early darkness out we go on this day of 20 kph sw winds going to my next favorite bouy. There we jigged and caught 2 small shibi and ran one live. Next Scot baited and hooked a nice shibi almost every pass, and we landed all but one out of 6 solid hookups, these guys did great on all these fish today. We got rained on once and had a rough ride home but a dry ride. Good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was the nicest morning in a while on this day of 15 kph east winds going to my favorite buoy. Arriving we jigged and caught a few small shibi and ran one live, and caught a small  mahi too. Then we baited and Scot hooked 5 mahi in our one good pass, it was great action while it lasted. Next we jigged and caught a few more small shibi and one more mahi. Kelly and Jason are going on I think their 6th trip with us over the years, always great to have aboard. Aloha Capt Rusty

one wee bit less snap today still 20 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. We had 5 small mahi by the time we got there. At the buoy we took a double mahi and landed them both. Then we trolled it for a while getting one or two a pass. When we baited Scot was hooking small mahi and shibi regularly. One hook up ended up being a nice 30 pound shibi. Next pass a big 35 pound mahi on 40 pound test no leader was a great battle for Marc, and this bigger boat was good at backing down too. Then a big 50 pound shibi screamed and came to the boat and aboard too. The action was nonstop till the ride in where we only got 1 more mahi. These guys did great today good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was a snappy 20 kph day as we headed to my favorite buoy. On our way we took a bouble ono and landed both of them. Then we found a few open schools and landed 4 mahi in them. At the buoy we trolled it once and headed for home. No hits on the way in. These folks were troopers on this rough day, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

Our quest for ocean going turkeys started on time on this day of 10 kph north winds going to my favorite buoy. Along the way we landed 2 small mahi. At the buoy Scot baited up some mahi right away, and we landed 6 of them. Then we let Nick us the shimano torium 30 he brought with him and he hooked a 25 pound shibi and got it, a great fight. Then we jigged and caught 1 aku and some small shibi, that we put in our tuna tubes and ran one live. One more mahi hit a jig and we got it. Back in the harbor everyone gladly ate eyeballs, I like it, good going you folks did great today. Aloha Capt Rusty

In the predawn darkness out we go on this day of 15 kph north winds going to my favorite buoy. On our way we landed another 8 mahi and a shibi enroute, they are all over the place. At the buoy we took a trolling hit and scot baited up 2 more on our first pass. Then it was one or 2 each bait pass for awhile, these folks did great on all these fish, it was good fun on light line. One shibi finally hooked up and we landed it. On our way in we got 4 more out of about 7 hits. This is a big change from how it has been the past few weeks. In the harbor only Trevon was bold enough to eat a mahi eyeball gladly, good going guy. Aloha Capt Rusty

Day 2 on the 38 med. on time out we go on this day of 20 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. On our way we had small mahi hooking up in the blind regularly, we had 8 by the time we got to the buoy. At the buoy Scot baited and hooked a real big fish probably an ahi that screamed almost all the line off a tiagra 50 before it broke line, bummer. Then it was mahi each pass for a while with 3 nice size ones and and a few doubles and one triple, great mahi action. These folks did great on this sorta snappy day. On the way in we had one mystery hit and landed one more mahi on the way. It was a pleasure to have these folks aboard good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

At the right time off we go on this day of 15 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy, there is a lot more room on this 38 to lounge around on. On our way we found an open school and got one nice mahi there, Mike reeled that one in. At the buoy Scot baited and hooked 2 mid size shibi right a way, and we landed them both. It took a few more pases before we hooked one more shibi and it came aboard. Then Scot got a real big one on 60 pound test and Cherry fought it for 25 minutes before it came off the hook with 20 yards to go, bummer, an epic battle. On our way in we had an ono hit the rigger and cut the lure off in about 5 seconds. These folks are part of what brings this site to life at linkhelpers.net, good going. Aloha Capt Rusty

In the dark of the twilight out we go on this day of 20 kph treades going to my next favorite buoy. There Scot baited and hooked a few mid size ones before he got a big one on and Neil landed a nice 46 pounder. A few more passes and Scot hooks another big one and it comes aboard. The bite was good and 2 more big ones joined us, one a 50 pounder for Neil, these guys did great on these fish today, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty

It was smooth sailing on this day of 10 kph trades going to my next favorite buoy. At the buoy Scot baited and hooked one out of 2 big shibi and John battled his fish for about 40 minutes on 80 before a large shark took one clean bite out of it and it came up dead, it would have been an 80 pounder, a great fight. Next pass Scot hooks a nice 45 pounder and Pete lands it. Then it was one or two a pass for a while there, punctuated by a few more big ones. These guys did great today on all these fish. In the harbor only John and Matt ate eyeballs, and John even ate 2, good going men. Aloha Capt Rusty
